How to use Telegram without phone number

There are cases when you need a second Telegram account but don’t have a secondary simcart available. In this article we will take a step to step tutorial on creating a Telegram account without requiring a simcart or phone number.

We will use 2 methods to get a free phone number and use it to register an account on Telegram.

Step 1: Get a free phone number using method 1 or 2

Method 1: Google Voice

Google Voice is a telephone service that provides a U.S. phone number to Google Account customers^[1] and it is used for call forwarding and voicemail services, voice and text messaging, as well as U.S. and international calls.

Method 2: TextNow

Step 2: Register the free phone number on Telegram

After learning how to get a free phone number from Google Voice or TextNow app, you need to register that phone number on Telegram. Simply open the Telegram app on your Android or iOS device and type in the phone number you received from the app and wait for the code.
